OpenWeb Info Mapper, Introduction

Local governmental entities in Southern Nevada have joined together to facilitate the sharing of Geographic Information System (GIS) data. This Internet resource is a result of the cooperation achieved through the Interlocal Agreements. The GIS Management Office (GISMO) has released a BETA of the new OpenWeb InfoMapper.

The beta is located at http://gisgate.co.clark.nv.us/openwebbeta.

Please use the Feedback and Survey located in the applications Resources button to provide input on the new version.

Please note that Microsoft Silverlight 3 is required for the new version. If you do not have it installed, a link to the plug-in should appear. If not" please go to Microsoft's Silverlight page.

Getting Started on OpenWeb Info Mapper:

The first option for finding a property is to use one of the "Search By" buttons to query on Owner Name, Site Address or Cross Street. Once the search has been submitted, click the corresponding grey submit button in the right frame to create the map display for the selected property.
The second option for finding a property is to enter a parcel number directly in the "Specific Parcel #" field. After entering the number, click the "Draw Selection" button on the left frame.
Once the map is displayed, the selected parcel is outlined in red. Note: some Condos are not represented individually due to technical limitation. Refer to the Frequently Asked Questions for more information on this topic.
To access detailed information about parcels shown on the map display, activate the "Select Property" button on the map display frame and then click on a parcel. A new window will display various information for the selected parcel. The items in the left column provide help information on the selected data item and the items in the right column represent the actual data values or hyperlinks to other resources.
Users can change the map display by changing the "View Type" selection in the left frame and/or by clicking "Show Aerial Photo" button or the "Show Right-of-Way" button and then clicking on the "Draw Selection/Redraw" button in the left frame.
The "Show Legend" button will display map symbology based on the current view type.
At any time, you can print the map by right-clicking in the frame with the map display and selecting "Print" from the menu.
At the bottom of the left frame are various help resources. Use these freely as they are intended to help users get the most out of the resource.

Browser Compatibility: This application utilizes Frame and JavaScript technologies. Therefore, Netscape Communicator and Microsoft's Internet Explorer versions older than 5.0 will have compatibility problems with this application. Free browser upgrades are provided by both Netscape and Microsoft.
For IE6 or greater:
1) Make sure Security (Tools > Internet Options > Security) is set to Medium.
2) Make sure Privacy (Tools > Internet Options > Privacy) is set to Medium-High.
Anything higher than these settings and OpenWeb will not function correctly.

Application Availability: Scheduled data updates occur daily between 4:00 AM and 6:00 AM * (PST). During this time, the application will be unavailable.

Pop-Up Disabling Utilities: This application utilizes pop-up windows for selected property, legends, and other information. Any "pop-up killer" utilities must be disabled in order to utilize this funtionality.

Firewall Information: Good News for users behind a firewall.!! We are now using standard port 80.
