What's New In 2008?

As the world of web based mapping applications grow, the GIS community is challenged with more complex questions than ever before. We are now faced with not only providing better-quality data and dissemination of our data, but also web applications that provide customers with GIS capable tools and functionality. The ArcGIS Web Application Developer Framework makes it possible to develop and incorporate these tools into our GIS processes. This presentation will provide a brief introduction into the Web ADF and Clark County’s experience developing applications for its everyday business needs.
As GISMO works to improve the quality of Clark County Central Repository (CCCR) Data and Metadata, it is increasingly important to ensure that the SNGIS community at large realizes their direct impact on the CCCR, with primary importance given to the quality of Metadata submitted. This Presentation will provide a high level overview of how ArcGIS Desktop can be used to create CCCR compliant Metadata to accompany submitted data. This presentation will also familiarize the SNGIS community with the Clark County Metadata Explorer, and the use of the submitted Metadata in support of this application.
